    Fight the long defeat.

How plausible is their knowledge of those events from ROTJ? Does the novelization explain it well?

I mean, Luke probably tells Han and Leia and they probably eventually told their son about his grandfather. Then Ben tells Snoke.

Outside of that I feel like it isn't as well known. But it does not really say anything about that.

Patiently waiting for work to be over so I can run to Target, grab this on Blu Ray, and watch it as many times as possible before falling asleep.

Picked up the Blu Ray at Target. Shit is selling quick and they had only been opened for 45 minutes when I went in.

Fortunately I live in a small town with 3 Targets in a 10-mile radius. Did you grab their exclusive version?

I did. It seems to be the best one offered from all of the retailers (if you're not into the steel books and such). The packaging is nicely done too. I thought it was just going to be a slip cover.

    I'm Back.

Really had a good time with this in the theater, even though I knew most of the spoilers coming in. Took my 10 year old to see it and he also enjoyed.

I think it's time for a revisit of the original trilogy.

I ended up grabbing the Wal-Mart BB-8 cover. Got to the store just before 8, and they only had maybe four left? Crazy.

All these selling out stories are making me anxious. i just ordered w/ store pick-up for the Target addition to ease my troubled mind.

Heading to Walmart after work, sounds like I shouldn't be expecting to bring this home with me. Still need to head there to pick up a shelf anyways, otherwise I'd probably just wait.

Depends on where you live and how many the store received, too. There were plenty of the regular blu-ray packaging!

For whatever reason I always always ALWAYS run into issues trying to redeem my digital copy. Without fail. No exception with my Star Wars today.

I'm going to take the blame on this one as I had attempted to pair SW:TFA to my Disney Collection or whatever and may have paired it to a different account I didn't know I had? Idk. Either way it prompted me an option to negate the code and generate a new one which didn't work.

Before this I'd have issues where it would tell me to have iTunes launched before entering the code (I do), but then it would never start the download while still using up the code.

There was a time period after the iTunes copy started to become popular and before all these other formats started to force their way into the picture that your movie would come with a generic code that you could then dictate your format of choice. I get why they don't do that anymore, but it was much easier that way. The whole process with intermediary websites to visit and shit is so convoluted.

I've never used iTunes before, just the Ultraviolet codes (linked to my Vudu account, which is also linked to Disney Movies Anywhere, Flixster, etc). I might have some iTunes codes that still work because I've never had a reason to use them.

My copy should be here from Amazon at some point today. Stoked to watch all of the documentary/deleted scenes content!

  19. J.J. Abrams explains Kylo Ren's strange table of ashes in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

“Sometimes bits and pieces of one scene end up being something that you use in another scene that you didn’t expect,” Abrams explained in a recent interview. “That’s always kind of fun, when you realize that something you’ve shot actually has a use you didn’t expect.”

Asked for an example, Abrams pointed to the scene in Starkiller Base where Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren is interrogating Daisy Ridley’s Rey and finally takes off his mask. The moment where he puts his mask down into that table of ash was meant for an early sequence.

“The backstory is, that that table has the ashes of the enemies he’s killed,” Abrams says. “That moment was actually shot for, and meant to be used in, the scene where he was talking to the Vader mask.”

    Yikes. That's morbid.

Quite so - but extremely cool. I can't wait to get home and dive in to all the extras for this later today after work. I'm fascinated by Ren as a character. There's a lot there, and a lot left to be revealed in VIII/IX.

I got the Target edition so I could have those additional bonus features, but I'm not thrilled about the flimsy cardboard case.
