From the article: “Also in flux is whether or not the cast of the last three Treks would be in Hawley’s film, although Hawley has not ruled them out. “I’m writing it and I have my own take on it so we’ll see where I end up,” Hawley said.”
Star Trek: Picard fights for the Federation’s utopian future Gonna wait to start watching this for when my mom comes and visits in a couple of weeks but this sounds exactly like what I want from a star trek show in this day and age
Reviews for this have been pretty positive so far. I'll definitely give it a whirl once a few episodes are out.
I like it for what it is, a very lighthearted silly version of Trek. It's funny to see Norm as a giant pile of goop. Nothing too special but fun
I fell off on The Orville pretty quick. It was fun, but was basically retreads of Star Trek episodes. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it was pretty easy to call back to the Trek episodes.
First episode is pretty good from just a general entertainment perspective. As a continuation of TNG and the character of Picard it's pretty terrible.
I’ve been watching a lot Star Trek lately. I watched several shows on and off as a kid (mostly Voyager and Next Generation) and I always considered myself somewhat of a fan, but I only really got into it again after watching all of Discovery last year. I loved it. I’m currently working my way through Deep Space Nine, which I never watched as a kid. I’m really enjoying it. I also watched one episode of Picar so far and it seems promising. Anyway, hi @ all, live long and prosper and so forth.
Finally got to start watching Picard and I'm enjoying it. Feel like its going a little slow but Measure of a Man is my probably my favorite Trek episode across the entire franchise, so I'm a huge fan of the direction they've gone with this.
Just binged the four episodes that are up so far and wow, I’m loving this. Elnor is such a cool character.
Picard getting to do a hammed upFrench accent was great Glad they finally got a whole crew they can start better defining the character. The pacing on this show is still somewhat off but they still have a compelling story with a very interested set of characters
I’ve never seen any iteration of Star Trek except for the 2009 movie, which I thought was okay. Picard starting recently seemed super interesting to me and I’ve always loved Patrick Stewart so I started TNG about a month or so ago. I’m almost through season two now and it’s just incredible. Love it!
I am confused though. Riker and Deanna Troi are together, right? In “Up the Long Ladder,” he hooks up with a one-off character. Did I miss that he and Troi aren’t officially together or is he cheating on her or what? Am I stupid? Haha
