Oh man I'm gonna have to watch Final Frontier again before SNW season 2 aren't I? I forgot about the Sybok reveal

The only bad thing about Strange New Worlds is making Final Frontier consequential to greater Trek lore lol

 

I love that the conception of IV The Voyage Home was Nimoy getting really into New Age Whalesong music.

 

I didn't like Voyage Home the first time I saw it,. But once you get past how very weird and tonally different it is than any other Star Trek film you start to really appreciate it.

 

I am watching the Star Trek The Motion Picture director's cut/remaster. The plot of this is still bleh, but goddamn is this movie beautiful to look at.

 

IV might be my favorite one. Just the malapropisms in the 21st century alone are sooo good

 

Ok I did I-IV. Now I am onto V The Final Frontier.

Go climb a rock.

 

Ok onto Undiscovered Country which is my personal favorite original cast film. It is essentially proto-DS9 . A lot of the thematic concepts we later saw in DS9 were beta tested in this movie.

 

Great premiere. SNW just always putting out bangers.

Carol Kane as Pelia in this incredible.

 

I am really interested to learn more about Pelia's race. The concept of a "secret race" of aliens who covertly lived among humans for centuries is really interesting. That concept has been explored in Marvel but never in Star Trek

 

This show does not miss.

 

Well, the show has officially made me cry. I love Strange New Worlds

 

It wouldn’t be a Star Trek series if it didn’t have a court episode!

I’m pretty sure Picard recently retconned the timing of the wars

 

Just watched the most recent SNW and think it’s safe to say this show is my favorite thing on TV right now
