just that a bunch of other people on Trek Twitter are like "what if they aren't showing the Borg Queen's face because it's going to be Engame Janeway?" too. parallel thinking I guess.

 

Wait so Section 31 is not going to be a new ongoing series or this is like a Battle Galactica "the pilot is a TV movie, and series comes later" type deal?

 

My guess (and hope) would be Yeoh is too busy now to do a whole show

 

If it is just a one off at least this now opens up the possibly of another new ongoing Trek series. Expecting the "Next Next Generation" series that has been rumored to be announced soon after Picard ends.

Also now there is a chance for more one off Star Trek specials where they can tell some interesting stories.

 

I just want something that takes place after Picard. Lower Decks, SNW, Discovery, and Prodigy are good though, but I’m interested in what’s next in the timeline.

Here is a pitch for a standalone Trek special: bring back Bakula and do a President Archer movie.

Oh hell yes. Can’t come soon enough. IMO season 1 was easily the best first season for any Trek show.

 

Ok so what, are they supposed to be inhuman bald alien monsters like in Discovery or just dudes with tan skin and weird eyebrows like TOS? Pick a lane, Trek!

 

Aren't we supposed to get the Lower Decks crossover episode this season? I hope we get Tawny Newsom and Jack Quid as live action Mariner and Boimler.

 

Yeah, the whole voice cast was already confirmed to be playing their characters in live action

 

I see its going to be a Frakes directed episode too!

The finale blew me away. The writing, music, and acting were phenomenal. I can’t wait to see the, hopefully, Seven show.

 

I don't think that could have been a more perfect ending. I can't imagine any longtime TNG fan not getting emotional at that entire credit sequence.

 

Phenomenal ending. I actually kind of thought the end of ep9 got a bit self-indulgent to me, so I didn’t have super high hopes for this, but boy was I wrong, incredible sendoff and can’t wait for what’s next.

 

Can I skip season 2? It’s one of the worst and most tedious things I’ve seen. Tried to get through the second episode and it was killing me. I’m a completionist but don’t think I can do it, but the praise for three is making me want to see it.

Definitely. Season three is almost like a different show altogether.
