Just watched Meld, which is the season 2 episode where Tuvok gets all fucked up after Mind Melding with a homicidal psychopath. Probably the first truly great episode of the early Voyager seasons I've seen so far.
They really just completely dropped the "The female caretaker will get us home" thing after just one episode where they explored that arc. Janeway ends this episode (2x10 Cold Fire) saying " we are determined to find her so she can get us home" and then I looked up on Memory Alpha and that character doesn't appear again lol
Done with the Kazon/Seska stuff. On to the Year Of Hell arc now (starting with 3x21 Before and After, then doing the Year Of Hell two parter). Going to do the Q Civil War and Pathfinder arcs after that. Then I will do a few remaining major story beat episodes and a few other remaining 2 parter episodes, and then I think I will be ready for Endgame. After Endgame I will watch the standalone "mission of the week" episodes at random just whenever. Its an unconventional way of watching a series but for Star Trek shows it works for me.
2x18 Death Wish is a 10/I0 Star Trek episode. Reminded me of Measure Of A Man. Love a Trek episode that is 90% people in a room debating philosophy and ethics.
Lmao the season 6 episode where Kes returns was godawful The seasons 6/7 Pathfinder arc started out really interesting, but goes off the walls later in later episodes. The one where Reginald Barclay's hologram gets hijacked by Ferengi trying to steal Seven's nanoprobes was bonkers.
Doing a binge of the B'Elanna centric episodes. I love how well written and complex she is. Top 10 Trek character.
Just started Bride Of Chaotica! Update Its rules. Might be up there with the DS9 baseball episode as one of my favorite holodeck episodes.
Started the first of the two Silver Blood episodes. Got a theory about how this might tie into Picard season 3.
One way I have realized you can differentiate the personalities and temperaments of the three major Berman era captains is how they treat members of the Maquis... big difference between Picard/Sisko and Janeway.
haven’t been able to watch episode 5 yet but so far I agree. It feels like they finally figured out the formula they should have had the whole time but sadly waited until the final season to get it right. Feels like they finally got their last TNG movie but in 10 parts.
I am loving all the surprises but I still have my ears tuned for any mention of "Prophets" and "Bajoran Wormhole" because that is when I would know the thing I wish most to happen is going to happen. His arc ended with him saying he would eventually return and they need to follow up on that.
Done with all the story arc stuff in Voyager and watched Endgame. Great Trek show. Good finale. Not as solid finale as What You Leave Behind or All Good Things.. but still really good. Now I am trying to do the same story arc binge of Enterprise... Yeah this going to be a little harder to get through lol
You are a machine going through all that so fast. Enterprise can be rough. But the characters really grow on you. Season three was a big cohesive story and season four had smaller arcs. Seasons one and two were a…trek.
Finally got around to watching season 1 of Picard. I outright hated most of it. I watched the first episode of season 2 and it was…mildly better. So maybe I’ll continue with it. I’ve been resisting the new Trek stuff and Picard S1 was basically my worst fears come to light. Very reluctant to check out any of the other shows.
