Hopping from “fun to action effortlessly” is not how I describe the Star Trek I want lol

 

It is absolutely possible for Star Trek to be fun and action-packed while still offering philosophical debate and political intrigue.

 

The films definitely have always had more of that tone. I have viewed Picard as being a multiple hour long star trek film rather than being like one of the series so I don't really have a problem with fun and action.

So, I don’t know what hypothetical you are responding to.

 

The tweet said it hops from fun to action. You said that's not the Star Trek you want.

So I made an educated guess on what Star Trek you want. If I'm wrong, my bad.

I'm also not making a commentary on the show with that statement, I'm just talking in general.

In a perfect world this season would have Picard, Janeway, and Sisko on screen together at some point.

 

Really good so far.

Interested to see where that Beverly Crusher has another son twist goes

 

Really enjoyed the premiere. Jonathan Frakes still has every ounce of his charisma. I’m in the minority that’s basically liked this show all along, but I love the direction it seems to be heading now

 

Catching up on Lower Decks and at the DS9 episode. It’s so nice seeing the old DS9 characters.

 

Lower decks does the nostalgia bits really well

 

That LD season three finale was amazing. I didn’t expect that.

 

Holy fuckkkk Worf making his intro straight up decapitating multiple people with his Bat'leth!!!! That was so badass.

 

This season has sold me more on Raffi as a character in 2 episodes than the entire 2 previous seasons.

 

Amanda Plummer's performance is incredible so far.

 

Alright I am in on this season. Episode 2 might have been the best episode of New Trek thus far.

 

There was a lot of soapy stuff at the beginning of the ep but thats how it is now. The thing you spoilered was also 30 years coming i was so happy to see it. I also want to know why Crusher's son is British so bad it doesn't make any sense and it's so funny

 

Without spoilerIng anything, it kind of reminded me of a certain scene in Rogue One.

 

Also Shaw is a fantastic character so far. Such a douche I love it.

 

One character thing I hope this show doesn't have a blindspot to, if Worf goes this entire season without bringing up Jadzia once I think they'd be doing a disservice to both characters.

They actually wanted to add in a few lines into Insurrection acknowledging Jadzia's death and how it effected Worf but Berman shot it down citing it would confuse the casual fans.
