Wow, I knew Shane was big - but arena big? Also - arenas are the absolute worst type of venue for a comedian.
He's been doing half theater/half arena runs for a minute now. Recently set the record at ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto for most tickets sold to a live event there. Which is crazy since the Toronto Maple Leafs play there
I saw him in Saginaw, MI earlier this year at an arena (his first one actually!) and it actually translated really well.
I feel like Lewis Black has huge during the bush era but rarely hear about him nowadays, also that Shane Gillis tour would be sick to go to.
I took my dad to see him a month or so ago. It was pretty bad, and you could tell his age was a factor.
