Honestly, that song to me sounds like something that would have come off of one of Machine Gun Kelly's last two albums. I feel bad saying that, but I can't unhear it.

 

Had a dream in which I was brainstorming songs for this band. The only one I can remember is "Sweet Sweat Scent".

 

Definitely growing on me more, great gym album

 

After not being too enthused with some of the singles, I’m so happy that this is resonating with me. Also, “Nails From the Back” is so fun. Great pop track.

 

Been playing all albums + the EP on shuffle today. That's a playlist of 40 pretty strong songs!

 

Doomsday, Pity Party, and Nails From the Back are all big bops

 

This has grown on me quite a bit. Van Gogh, Bloodclot, and don't talk [to me] are my favs so far.

 

Saw them live the other night (every opener was god awful to sit through imo) but the band killed it. Bonnie is a force of nature live.

 

I'm going to this tour at the end of the month and definitely debating just getting there late. With Confidence wasn't even good? Also how do the new songs translate live?

 

New SA songs were a standout, they really go off live. Weirdly enough (maybe it was the audio engineer that night) but the mix on older stuff was pretty muddy. With Confidence was so boring, not to mention the fact that the singer has never faced anything from the allegations against him. You could safely miss everyone but SA.

 

This type of music usually isn’t in my wheelhouse but I really enjoyed this. Good recommendation from a pal of mine. Are their other records in the same style, and worth checking out?

 

I'd try Pink Elephant, it's relatively similar in style!

 

Halfway through first listen and pleasantly how much I'm enjoying it.

 

I finally spun the vinyl last night and was surprised when Tom the Mail Man wasn't on "Dumb". I'm guessing they secured that feature after everything was sent to be pressed. Nevertheless, I still can't get over how good this album is.

This is random, but does anyone else get Jason Aalon Butler/Fever 333 vibes when she's screaming over that last breakdown on "Cabin Fever"?

 

I can't even remember if the Tom the Mail Man verse was missing on my vinyl. Guess I'll have to spin it again today and find out!

 

Damn I want that version of Dumb.

 

Been trying to get into this after loving older stuff and I just don't vibe with it.

 

These songs are in my head a lot lately. Constant bops.

 

I'm fully aware this is very 'old man yells at cloud', but the zoomer humour which punctuates this band's presence and work is not for me haha

 

I think “Dumb” could kill on radio. It does NOT need every (any?) F bomb they drop.

 

Oh, I saw these guys play in St. Paul last week. Shockingly big draw, the venue seemed to be at no less than 80% capacity. Great show too, they're all great performers. Bonnie accidentally spit in my face though, lmao.

What a fun place for a show. The setlist is great!

 

Yessss, this was my first time back to The Amsterdam since the pandemic. Glad to be back.
