Omg, the production feels so nu-metal, I love it.

This is a bit disappointing to me compared to Pink Elephant. I think "Deathwish" might actually be my favourite and I was disappointed in that when it was first released. Still don't like the feature at all but the rest of that song is pretty great.

Every song pre-release besides pity party are actually my least favorites on the whole album. I was super pleasantly surprised by the deep cuts (xo is ehhh but the rest is really good).

I really like Pink Elephant, but most of that album stayed at a similar mid-tempo, so I appreciate how most of this album is faster.

My favorite on the whole album is definitely van gogh. Super high energy, catchy and I love the vocal delivery.

I think they album is really good, which is no surprise, Bonnie's a great songwriter and Steve Knight's a great producer.

BUT there are two specific moments that bother me:
-'Doomsday' is overproduced as hell, and the whispery, bit-crushed vocals over the intro trigger my ASMR and just cloud up the whole mix in an unflattering way.
-The "feel like a slave" line in 'Nails From The Back' feels a bit tonedeaf, and honestly it makes me cringe a little bit even though I know Bonnie didn't mean it that way.

Anyways "Cabin Fever" is fucking amazing, and I'm glad their label put it out cause it's SCATHING.

I thought Pink Elephant was damn near perfect. And this album is somehow better in every way. I can't get over how much they seem to have leveled up with this.

Easily one of the most consistent bands around right now, this album is insane.

These songs are also gonna go off live.

    Yeah this album fucking slaps.

I think my initial favorites are bloodclot and nails from the back. But the whole thing is so damn consistent. It cured my hangover this morning.

This is alright, a little bit all over the place. I like their debut record the most out of all three so far.

Standouts here for me are “bloodclot”, “switchblade” and “hair out”

Something about the production on the last two records has bothered me. Seems a bit overdone. If I listen to these songs and then go back to the first record, everything sounds *way* more crisp.

I think their first is definitely the weakest and most generic. I think the production is one of the better things about this and it was pretty much perfect on Pink Elephant.

Yeah Skinny Dipping was definitely very generic pop punk, though very well done, but Pink Elephant and this record are both so energetic and all over the place but in a good way. IMO at least.

I think Pink Elephant is still their best, both songwriting and production wise.

I agree that the post-production on FEAR is distracting and over-the-top though.

On my first listen I thought it was good, think it will grow on me with repeat listens. Not sure it hooks me quite as much as the first two albums did but it's not that kind of record either.

  21. Just got to listen to this, holy fuck does cabin fever go off. More of that and molotov please. I love this record, this band is 4/4 with me (counting the first EP)

I LOVE the energy of cabin fever and molotov. Definitely want more of that too. But I'm convinced that the hooks to van gogh, nails from the back and bloodclot are the catchiest things Bonnie has written.

I thought the lyric for the chorus of bloodclot was "but I'm just a bloodclot stuck in your bed" at first and I was like wtf bonnie

    Cabin Fever is a monster.

Van Gogh is an instant “jump in the pit and destroy something” song.

I still think Nails From The Back is corny as hell, but I like the rest of the album tons.
