Really curious where she's gonna go musically on this

 

Loved Masseduction, love everything she's done and she's one of the best guitar players I've ever seen live so let's fucking DO THIS.

There's supposedly a clip of the single floating around. I've yet to hear it, but have seen multiple people say it's given them Prince vibes so I'm hyped

 

Is Antonoff confirmed as producer? I like his work with Lorde and Lana, but I was not as high on Masseduction.

This made me go back and listen to her for the first time in a couple years. I remember obsessing over Marry Me before she ever made much of an impact, bummed that album seems to be often overlooked. It’s still the one I recommend to people first, though, as I think it’s her most accessible.

 

There are a few songs on it that I just don't see myself going back to. Still love it, but I think everything that followed overshadows it.

This song will never not be amazing live.

Absolutely adored Masseduction, so I'm excited to hear what's next.

 

“I would say it’s the sound of being down and out Downtown in New York, 1973. Glamour that hasn’t slept for three days,” Clark says when asked to describe the record. “In hindsight, I realized that the Masseduction and tour was so incredibly strict, whether it was the outfits I was wearing that literally constricted me, to the show being tight and the music being angular and rigid. When I wrapped that, I was like ‘oh, I just want things that are fluid and wiggly and I want this music to look like a Cassavetes film’. I wanted it to be warm tones and not really distorted, to tell these stories of flawed people being flawed and doing the best they can. Which is kind of what my life is.”

The album title being because her dad was mysteriously in prison for a decade is incredible

I saw two MASSEDUCTION shows, one with full band, one solo both incredible.
Saw a masseduction piano set that was an absolute delight.

She kills it in any setting.
