I haven’t seen stranger. But maybe I’ll give it a go! the elderly man in squid game is in Chocolate (new on Netflix) my fave k-drama is Birth of a Beauty, Start Up (on Netflix) is good, also Good Doctor (just like the American show), Emergency couple. I can’t think of the top of my head rn some of the others I liked.
Yeah I think I posted the trailer to Squid Game about a week before it premiered (it was a random suggestion on Youtube), and then watched the first four episodes that Friday night, and then finished the rest the next day. Crazy how fast it's blown up since then
Ferrari was definitely the earliest. I saw you post about it a few days before it dropped and everyone was like "WTF is this?!?!"
Yeah we talked about it there for a while at first, before this thread was created Also Squid Game knocks Bridgerton off Netflix top spot "The Korean drama was watched by 111 million users in its first 28 days, knocking Bridgerton (82 million) off the top spot."
My sister who watches a lot of Kdramas said the VIP scene was typical of how Americans are portrayed in Korean shows.
Yeah knowing this was a South Korea-made show, it didn't seem out of the ordinary for the English dialogue of the VIP's to sound wonky. I was just like "ehhh whatever, means to an end"
