    hey you lil piss baby

I’ve been listening to this quite a bit and I really admire it, but something about it still feels a little out of grasp for me. Especially compared to some of the other major post-punk records this year (namely BCNR and Dry Cleaning). Hoping it fully clicks at some point.

I loved this and BC,NR but could not get into that Dry Cleaning at all. there's some similarities between the 3 but they're still very individual imo

I couldn't get into to either of those but love this. Dry cleaning was cool but a little one note, bcnr just wasn't for me.

Do Nothing is a very good band in a similar vein to squid and the post punk crowd, no album yet but some solid tracks.

Dry Cleaning is cool except for the vocals, too one note as mentioned above

I wouldn’t necessarily say that. They’re all doing it in their own way and the vocals in each group are very distinct from each other. It’s likely that someone that likes one might like the others but I don’t think it’s a straightforward given.

Also would add Shame and the forthcoming black midi record to the list of major post-punk records so far this year.

Y’all might like the new Facs record that dropped this past Friday too

  17. I love them all but Shame has released my favourite post-punk album so far this year

This is only tangentially related, but Martha Skye Murphy (who is featured on "Narrator") dropped a new single this week and it's incredible

legit dreamt about this gig last night. feels like they didn't miss a single note...so much auxiliary percussion (SO many jamblocks/cowbells), the most amazing synth performance I've ever seen bar none, guitar interplay for the gods....gonna be thinking about this one for some time
