Album Premiere: Square Peg Round Hole Juniper : Photos : Relix RIYL: weird, percussive based music that's a mix of electronic, post-rock, and classical music. ridiculously talented band, music majors that started as a percussion ensemble and went on to make music beyond that
this is really really really good guys. i don't necessarily know who would like it but it's a really sick amalgamation of sounds also, bryan from copeland helped mix the record, and the main drum kit drummer drummed for lydia on their most recent tour
The drummer I play with all the time studied at IU with these guys and always said they were awesome. Checking out the songs on Bandcamp now.
Yup! Evan grew up around here (maybe the others? i think just him), they're all in Philly now so they come down all the time, playing a release show down here tonight and I'm ridiculously excited for it. one of the coolest bands I've ever booked/seen live
I'm hoping they play some midwest shows soon because I'd love to see them. I'm really liking this album so far.
I still need to check Caracara, but one of my friends who likes cool instrumental music got me into these guys a while back. Their Audiotree session is fantastic.
