Taking Back Sunday was apparently my #4 most listened to artist, but dont have a single song in my Top 100. Fall Out Boy was apparently my #5, but only 2 of their songs are in my Top 100. Meanwhile, Softcult has 7 songs in my Top 100 but didn't make the cut for my top artists. Similar for Paramore and Deftones too. I never trust the accuracy of these lol
My wife's Spotify and Apple wrapped playlists are just the Noah Kahan album, almost in perfect sequence haha.
I maintain that tracks plays vs length of time listening is an inaccurate way of judging your top artists
Honourable mention to blink 182 - Feeling This, Haim - The Steps, Sugarcult - Memory and Boygenius - Me & My Dog for making top 20 for the 3rd year running.
Has anyone looked into these "The Sound of ____" Spotify playlists? Basically, you can type in any obscure sub-genre you want (like Crank Wave, for example), it gives you a huge playlist of songs in that genre, and in the playlist's description, it mentions other similar genres, and you can click on those and it pulls up all new playlists. This is awesome if you're into discovering new bands from obscure genres you've never heard of before haha.
That's exactly how I felt too hahaha. My friend's top 2 genres on Spotify Wrapped were "Crank Wave" and "Wonky" so I was like "What the fuck is that???" and then that's when I discovered these playlists, and now I'm hooked haha. I explored the Egg Punk playlist for a bit today, and Japanese Post Punk, which were both pretty awesome.
That “sound of…” playlists would be incredible if Spotify knew what genres artists are. I did an “experimental rock” playlist that gave me all boring soft acoustic indie
I chose a 00s rock playlist and it was all like Hilary duff and Lindsay Lohan lol who I enjoy but not when I choose a rock playlist
is there a way to delete all downloads from spotify, but keep albums liked? my spotify is fucked up, where undownloading albums is still keeping the songs downloaded and it's taking up all of my storage. i can't figure out how to delete the individual tracks
Does anyone know if there's a good platform to transfer your music library to Spotify from another streaming service? I'm in the process of switching to Spotify from Amazon Music and so far the only things I've been able to find are tools that can transfer playlists. I'm looking for something that will take all the artists and albums I've added to my library over the years, but nothing seems to offer that.
I think that’s it, they’re still in my “liked songs” playlist. Would deleting that playlist delete all of my downloaded albums? I want some albums downloaded because I stay in places with no cell service or wifi
I believe song shift is able to do this, but you have to get the paid version to do it in bulk. otherwise its just one album at a time
