I've thought about it, but I'm just way too deep into Apple Music to feel like I have to start over haha.

Haha, I had Spotify for the longest time and then switched to Apple for the UI and ease of just being in the Apple ecosystem, but I'm kind of alright with not going back. Until Apple raises their prices again I'll stick around.

Price increases and artist payouts are being redetermined. it’s so convenient to listen to music now. But man we really screwed something up.
I guess the industry always did this, just with physical media. Gotta keep that money flowing to the top!

And that's why you always leave a note.

Someone in some Spotify board room: "How do we make our public image even worse?"

I would say, at least with physical media we at least got something nice to hold onto (and look through) while listening to the music. Also yes, more unchecked capitalism and the mythical "trickledown economics" that makes me scoff.

Can I ask why you were thinking of moving from Apple to Spotify?

I was thinking of moving from Spotify to Apple after learning a small string of things about Spotify, though I don't know if Apple is any kinder to artists/songwriters.

Haha, two reasons, 1) I'm a penny pincher recently and it was like 2 dollars cheaper. 2) I had it before and really loved the playlists it would recommend and it seemed like everyone I talk to uses Spotify these days.
