Jordan Crook, at TechCrunch, on the team up between Tinder and Spotify: Just as Tinder allowed folks to connect their Instagram accounts to their Tinder profile, the same is now true for Spotify. For the first time ever, I'm vaguely interested in trying out Tinder. I mean, I have a girlfriend I love, but to meet friends (Tinder Social is a thing now, right?), this sounds kinda? awesome? maybe?
Tinder is kinda trash and does more harm to society than good, but a Myspace-esque ability to put a song on your profile is kinda funny. Imagine the levels of douche fuckboys will be able to reach now that they can add an EDM track alongside the pics of them crossfitting and/or vaping lol.
This could be funny for those trying to Tinder on the down low and then some Jason Aldean or FGL song starts blasting because they have their volume too high.
Spotify integration, at least at favourite artist level, has been in other dating apps like Bumble or Happn for ages. Weird it's taken them so long to come up with something! Kinda thought it was already in to be fair.
This will definitely cut out small talk but my playlist would only consist of sound clips from the Pokémon games.
Why wasn't this shit on there when I was using it? It would've been fun to see if I could get laid all because of a Cattle Decapitation song.
