Can someone explain what "Vintage Swoon" is? I love Cigaretttes After Sex- are they kind of "Vintage Swoon" ?
Probably makes me super lame, but one of my favorite days each year is when Spotify releases their personalized year-in-review feature. It's so fun to share nerdy music stats with friends.
Apart from my love for Kendrick, I'm the oldest of farts according to Spotify. Also, fuck yeah to whatever Melodic Power Metal is. If that genre comes with a default photo, it better be a picture of ETID's Andy Williams arm-wrestling Howard Jones.
Not too surprised, except that Young + Menace was my #1 song. I did listen to it a ton when it was first released, but I'm surprised it is the single most listened to. I would've thought Hard Times would've taken that. Actually I'm also very surprised that When the God of Love Returns... was in my top 5. I'm sure I've listened to Pure Comedy more. I'm also kind of surprised the Menzingers are this high. It's also worth noting I do probably about half my listening on Spotify at work and the rest on Apple Music (or vinyl).
My wife and I share a Spotify account. All the top listened stuff according to this thing is what I would call "her" music. However, the Discover Weekly playlist is always more geared toward "my" music. Spotify is weird.
I listen to a lot of Hip Hop(my top two artist were both rappers) but the genre literally never appears in my Discover Weekly. It's usually just filled with crappy pop punk bands. It's just not a very good feature any more in my experience.
My Spotify Discover playlist is super weird. It's usually related to bands I've only listened to 2 or 3 tracks of to see if I like them, rather than bands that I listen to on the daily. Sometimes in the Recommended Albums too, it will say "Similar to ____ " and I either haven't, to my recollection, listened to that particular band, or again, has only ever listened to 1 or 2 tracks by that band. So yeah, Spotify is weird.
Been trying to use this on my iPhone all day, all I get is the graphic reaching ‘100’ and Then nothing else happens. Suggestions? Tried doing it on my laptop but I didn’t find a link to it on the Spotify website or app. But I might not have been looking hard enough...
How is that even possible. How old are you?? He has worked hard for decades to popularize reggaeton in US mainstream music and deserves it and ur missing out on jams smh
