watching people who are clearly in the card market solely to make money try to manipulate it is very funny. I saw people suddenly starting to hype up lorcana’s best cards for money forgetting that the pull rates are sooooo bad.
yeah I am done opening Prismatic if I score one of those, I would use it in a trade towards something else
I scored the Vaporeon SIR within my first 6 packs of Prismatic so that definitely skewed my perception of that set...we'll leave what has happened since not mentioned, but I'm done with it too.
My cousin wanted first partner series 2 so I decided to try and wait at target for a restock and I missed out by like 9 people and then I missed out on the zygarde ex by like 4 people. The limit was 1 per everything too so people were mad lol. all I have to show for 45 minutes of waiting is two phantasmal flames packs lol. (my best target does their drops everyday at 8 am)
Rough. I went to my Target today ant 8am and they didn’t have first partner boxes at all. Same with Best Buy. (Best Buy our distribution center received the boxes late. So each store had to have a rush shipment of them to make it on time. Well my store didn’t get ours yet……..) I may try Target again before heading into work
Scored one First Partners at Target which had hard limits of per person. I scored the Unova trio...gonna need to track down the Johto trio once the market dies down at this point.
It was kinda annoying to see all the people who actually got the first partners be bummed they only were allowed to get one lol. I think they only had about 20-25. and then people tried to rush a few doors down to the Best Buy but I guess one of the employees came out and said no pokemon today and everyone scattered.
I was in that camp of being bummed when they had hard limits of 1, but once I saw the stock since they had it on one of their stocking carts, I change my tune pretty quickly to "Oh, they don't have many." At least I got something.
my buddy texted me hey wanna wait for pokemon on Friday cause we both had it off and target hands it out at 8 am everyday. I said sure so we ended up waiting from 6 to 8 am. I was the 7th person and he was the 6th. The store opens up and they have chaos rising ETB’s today. The manager hands them out and my buddy ends up getting the last ETB and I got the blisters and I was like damn but he traded it to me cause he already has a few of them. i told my cousin how i got him a chaos rising etb and then he texts me back a picture of an ascended heroes and destined rivals etb he found while visiting his wife’s parents at a walmart in Arizona. essentially the dude got three etbs all in one day lol lucky foo.
somebody tell me not to jump into another TCG TCGs I've played and quit in the past 3 years: MTG (on again/off again for like 15 years) Lorcana - got in at the very beginning but got out before the second set even dropped due to insane lack of product SWU - fun game but also had supply issues. Idk just kinda fizzled out for me Gundam - went to the Launch event and that was it. Also terrible supply issues There's a store near me that has a pretty active Grand Archive scene. I left with a demo deck and piqued interest but idk. I'm terrible at staying in these things
my early prediction is that there will be bloodshed on the day those upcs drop. that said, the nidorina and ditto promos are awesome.
tbh I may just pre order some stuff at Gamescalp. Can always sell it if I hit elsewhere and/or on PKC website when they do pre orders.
