that is so sick just be aware how hard they are at PSA on grading vintage. Probably still worth a shot though.
Setting it on the shelf for a free for all at this point is ridiculous. Have it behind a controlled counter and strict limit the stuff. Its not that hard.
The targets in my area have been really good about putting it behind guest services and a limit of 1 of each but for some reason Walmart just refuses to do that. They just let it be free for all and no limit.
I've got 2 Targets and 2 Walmarts that are basically equidistant Target 1 (closest to me) puts it out on the floor. Sometimes in cards, sometimes in toys, no rhyme or reason. 2 per sku per person. Target 2 keeps all the good/new stuff behind CS. limit 2 items TOTAL per person. Sometimes they have stuff in toys, but its usually not as popular sets or overflow Walmart 1 is 5 per sku per person, they stock on the same/day time every week, and its cleaned out instantly by the same group of degenerates Walmart 2 is 1 per sku per person and they keep it behind CS lol all these stores are within a 20 minute drive from each other. Wild that it differs so much.
Got to add the 151 Zard to my collection. Husband of a good ex-coworker had an extra. I traded him 151 Alakazam, and the Kanto 3 first partners that I had extra of. He sold it to me for $300. That’s $100+ lower than market. I traded the 4 cards and gave him $170. Super cool with that. Still, have never paid that kind of money for a shiny piece of cardboard.
https://old.reddit.com/r/baseballcards/comments/1ss1s3y/2026_bowman_baseball_analysis_deep_dive/ my favorite set drops tin a few days and value boxes are looking like the move again. I AM READY
Buddy alerted me to a Walmart drop. Made it and was 8th in line. They had 7 Destined Rivals ETBs. One per person. Smh lol
this card has jumped over 100% in a day because people "found" the hidden pikachu in the trees I think I'm getting out fully of my ETB collection by the 30th anniversary, this is just turning into crypto pumping lol
This pretty much encapsulates why I've jumped into buying singles almost exclusively minus buying packs for my kid. The hobby is cooked.
was early for an appointment. Ran into Target. To my shock, I see a couple AH ex boxes and First Partner boxes on the shelf. I turn around and the one guy is checking out a Prismatic ETB. The last one. I just missed it, again lol second near miss this week
Ouch. Hope you grabbed something. Those 1st partner boxes are such a good deal. I caught the very first Destined Rivals first day launch somehow after work on like a 2nd stocking of the day. But since, then have never caught the good stuff on a restock. Just tech-sticker packs. I'm not a sealed collector at all. But, I've got a couple of extra things I'm hanging onto for like trading canon-fodder for singles I want in the future. I'm very fortunate I work at a place that I know when we get stuff in exactly and when we put it out. And its random. And we don't have lines. Within the limits that we enforce, I can get some stuff pretty easily. Perks. (I'm not like a MJ holdings vendor skimming off the top or anything)
Now I just need Blastoise for the “big 3” of 151. Then to round out several of the other IRs from that set. Traded a guy at work for this. Gave him N’s Zoroark from Journey Together and some cash. (He’s like half my age so isn’t that attached to Venusaur lol)
That’s so awesome. That’s what I’m going to do as well. I have a regular binder I’m going to do that with. I need Bulb, Blast, Charmander, and Chameleon. I’m hoping to snag a couple of those this week and a shop. I’ve got 2 toploader binders. I have my full base set and jungle in 1, and team rocket and Fossil in the other. I kinda feel like they loose some luster under the extra layers of plastic.
Chaos Rising has treated me okay so far - my kid and I have opened about 25 packs have scored hits in about half the packs. Didn't realize Mega Gallade was gonna be in this one but I wish he would've gotten the full art treatment.
my Best Buy had legitimately 200 CR bundles on Friday and my Target had probably 500-600 sleeves. Insanity. Hope this is a sign of more printing!
all I could find were 3 blisters and a bundle at the 3 stores I have on my commute home at around 1:30 pm release day even with limit 1, those seemed to be dwindling down from what I could see at the register I've pulled 2 SIR's in 48 packs, which is better than my usual average lol
At launch my Best Buy had 620 packs, 134 bundles, 90ish 3 packs, and 43 etbs. We still have 191 packs left since its a hard limit of 4 packs per human per day. People have been walking in all weekend just grabbing their 4 packs, paying, and leaving. Up until yesterday we've had Perfect Order packs on the shelf for an entire week - since we got in 300+ the week prior. I love that we still have stock lingering. We are a rural Best Buy so not as much traffic as a bigger store. But, we sell more cards then some of the bigger stores since our store is so easy to get to vs a metro area. Easy to pop in and out.
my little bro is working on a master set of the original set. He hasn't bought a single card, just been trading with people at his local shop. Everyone is trying to help him complete it. I think he has 11 cards left?
