I got all of the same starters but doubled because I opened 4 boxes lol Ended up selling trying to recoup some $ after getting skunked on 3 AH ETBs lol
Got an ETB from target this morning with no issues so I'm a firm believer things might be on the upswing.
I just decided to check the card section after work at target and they still had single packs so I grabbed two. some lady saw me and was like hey Best Buy has 3 crates full of singles with like a limit of 4 and I went over and got 4 more. and and this is all going to my cousin cause he’s a huge collector now WOMP
I think things are gonnna be okay for a lil since people don't care about the chases in PO and CR (besides greninja) People are still gonna frog every Ascended Heroes product they can find, and I think things are going to get actually worse than what they have been during the 30th anniversary set lol
BUT it was nice being able to go to Best Buy after leaving work, hours after doors open and get product
the dude was like the limits 4 but honestly you can grab up to 8 but I was just like no I don’t want my cousin to get even more lol
I went back to the target/Best Buy and they still had plenty of singles so I picked up another 6 for my other cousin. it hurts to be the plug for two people lol especially if one pulls and the other doesn’t
Ever since getting back into the hobby, I opened two SIRs in my first couple weeks of buying cards (Vaporeon EX Sir, Carmine SIR), but everything else has been my six-year old. He's the one with the charmed luck. I bought him two packs yesterday of Perfect Order while at Target, and he got the Doublade and Talonflame IRs. Sometimes that shit is just cosmic.
[[cross post from the main Pokemon thread - didn't know this one was here!]] I've currentlly been spending too much money on Pokemon cards(ha). I've bought new binders to rebinder my old vintage collection. From childhood I still have the full complete base set, compelte Jungle set(most 1st editions), 98% Team Rocket set(most 1st editions - missing holo Dark Slowbrow and holo Rainbow Energy). I have just a few holos from Fossil and 4 from Gym Heros. My first edition holo Dark Charazard looks mint. Looked at it yesteday. IDK if its a 10, but its close. Some cards are absolute mint. Some have minor scratches on the foil from you know just being a kid. They have been in penny sleeves and a binder since 2000 or so. I have a lot of bulk that still look very good. Want to sell off some of the extra, especially some shadowless base set and 1st editions from Jungle and Team Rocket. Might send some for grading out of curiosity.. Base set, Jungle, and my old promo cards are now in a toploader binder. Team Rocket set I might put in a regular binder since I think to toploaders that little extra layer that takes away from clarity. (I need to put my 1st ed Zard in a damn safe). Have a lot of cool newer stuff too, but haven't pulled any real "chase" cards since I've been back into buying cards again. Started around when Surging Sparks came out a couple years ago. Honestly really enjoying the process of redoing my old collection and organizing it all. May post pics later.
Me and a bud went to a Best Buy and they had the Prismatic Eeveeloution pin boxes(with Umbreon and Espeon). He grabbed a box and I grabbed a box of the 5 they got in. He opened his. He pulled the Sunbreon. I haven't opened mine yet. Now i'm scared to.
one of my cousins got into pokemon cards and he pulled the mewtwo from ascended heroes and got it graded. It came back a 10 and he sold it immediately lol. no hesitation at all.
