mark explained this to me back in 2008 so i don't remember the details but basically victory owns their name and back catalog, that's why they broke up, they owed so much $ to the label for tour support, merch, etc they couldn't pay the label back so they folded, plus they signed a 4 record deal and only put out 3. they could still play as 'spitalfield' but weren't allowed to put out new music or sell it as 'spitalfield' but years ago tony sold victory to concord music group for a shitload of money so i don't know how that works anymore. concord bought the fearless back catalog as well but that label still is running and signing new bands.
I know a lot of bands return and it’s like “it’s so nice to hear them again” but holy shit this a straight up time machine. One of the strongest “scene” related examples of something that could’ve easily been on a release from their heyday
Man, such a good Spitalfield song. Feels like it could easily be a follow up to better than as if no time had passed. Like that it’s a love letter to their RRN album tour but hope this leads to a full album because they still got it.
i saw that but thought it was old because i don't know the difference between remember right now and remembering right now.
There is also the fact that Apple Music says it was released on June 17, 2003. Took me a while to realize this is the new single people were talking about.
