    Better than you, sorry

They are very good live. That album is one of my faves. Pretty sure I picked up their vinyl last year.

I’ll always remember “when you said that you were leaving I asked where we were going”

People, just please sell this out for them, so they might as well decide to get us some new music hahh!

they can't, victory/concord owns the name and back catalogue, and they never fulfilled their contract. hence why mark puts out music under his own name now. spitalfield can play shows but no new music under their name or else they'll get sued.

I've heard that, but well, they could just rename the band somehow, and Mark hasn't really been putting out any new music at all as far as I know. Pretty sure he didn't start that because of all of it too, his solo stuff is way different (would love to get something new out of that style too). Would be perfect if another label could buy them out, but with Victory it would probably be a problem even after all these years and that could render it not that worthwhile for a new crew to take the risk

yah its been awhile since he dropped anything (2018) hes been doing stuff on his own since i can remember, even during spitalfield in their prime he would do solo shows, my buddy would play with him. those were fun small shows and nowadays hes a father now, and most of the other guys are married, by the end of their victory run it was only mark & JD keeping it going with other fill ins, the other victory era members have come back for the reunion shows they've had throughout the years locally which is rad but i know only one of them could do their recent run with AFS & HH, so i think they've moved on from working together to produce new music and just take what opportunities they come up with. four full lengths ain't bad though from their initial run! as for the victory they got bought out by concord so i dunno how another label could go and get their rights back because concord isn't a regular label i believe its more of a distribution company / back catalogue holder? they have fearless records as well but the owner still wanted to run the label / sign new bands. tony brummel didn't wanna keep it going so it folded, a couple of my friends bands that were on it were left in the dark, no one wanted we were sharks or carousel kings, but broadside got scooped up right away! so obviously if you make $ you got picked up.

That's very thorough, thanks! Do you know who has come back to the line-up right now? (considering they also had different people on bass and guitar for their last albums) I was looking at some live photos and was wondering if it isn't TJ Minich on bass again, but I could be wrong, it's been years. Still, it can't get any weirder to me how did they get fucked so bad to not be able to release any new music under the Spitalfield moniker, seems like there should be a way to solve that after so many years - but well, of course it's not like I know if they even want to make new music at all, I did notice they more likely went into more of a family mode etc., and it's cool - just throwing it out there. I think I'm sure Mark has mentioned on his ig they would release their older catalogue on streaming services too, but that hasn't happened yet as well.

Gotta second what you've just said though - it ain't bad! Such a good run!

yes TJ is back on bass! he left before their 4th album and moved to colorado but hes back, love his bass lines on RRN & SDBT, here and home shows JD & Dan play too but i dont think they can tour. and their compilation with the older songs inst on streaming? i have my CD of it. i can upload it if you want the mp3s. its got their first full length, the cloak & dagger EP and some other stuff. oh and jon walker from panic at the disco is touring with them now on guitar, not sure whose drumming for them.

So cool! Yeah I loved TJ both on bass, and on vocals too in that era! (was a fan of that Knockout album as well).

It's not on streaming - at least not in my country, and I was sure they were supposed to do something more with it, haven't seen any info on that later on. I'd be all about some more miscellaneous stuff from them, but I'm almost certain I did have the mp3s from that compilation - I'll check for it when I get a chance to grab my older hard drive, and if it's not there I'll gladly return to your offer (thanks!). For now I've been putting it back just in case it gets officially re-released somewhere and I would like to bump up their streaming numbers then hahh! So it's been a very long time since I heard Cloak & Dagger and Faster Crashes Harder
