I'll probably still try to catch them when they come through especially if the support is good. I like the old tracks enough and I'm curious to see how some of these will translate live.
I think this record is pretty solid. Would I prefer a couple more heaters? Sure, but this is very fun
I’m smoking something everyone else isn’t because I think this album is so rad. They nailed the whole reggae post-punk thing with this one. It’s more dialed in overall. The production is a great too. Raw and clean sounding at the same time. You’ve Got My Number is incredible and sounds like a call out to Blondie. The new White Reaper album also bangs haha. I love the output from these bands.
I’m going to listen to it a few more times over the weekend because I love this band but man.. the vocals sound like Mike is on autopilot to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, White Reaper also bored me outside the singles and Coma. That was also a big disappointment. What’s wild is the 7 inch that White Reaper and Spiritual Cramp put out together last year has back to back bangers that clear most of the tracks off their new records lol
A few more listens in and I think this would’ve worked MUCH better as an EP imo: Get Back Home At My Funeral Automatic You’ve Got My Number Violence In The Supermarket People Don’t Change
There are parts on this album that reminds me of The Clash, The Bravery, Blondie, and Hot Fuss-era The Killers.
Having not listened to their other stuff, I really like this record, keep coming back like a few times a month since it came out
