god damn they ripped the other night. Caleb shomo came out for holy roller since beartooth was here yesterday (didn’t go). but yeah Courtney is the best frontperson in modern metal

 

I got the music goosebumps(frisson) THREE times last night coming home form work listening to No Loss No Love. At the first instrumental breakdown AT 1:45. Then at the second part of the breakdown after the cut and Courtney kicks back in at 1:59. Then again at the final breakdown after the segue.

What a song.

 

no loss no love is an absolutely insane song

 

finally diving into their discog and holy shit Blessed Be is incredible

 

I have a hard time thinking of a bad track from them. I think they have a really consistently good discography

I'm about to go pick up some pizza and want to check out the new Daoboys, but... this album exists so I'm going to rock with this for pizza run.

This will be #1 album for me this year no doubt. Deafheaven will prob be #2. We'll see if something else sticks with me.

 

The Fear of Fear > Eternal Blue > Tsunami Sea for me. That being said, this is my runaway AOTY.

 

EB clears this imo but the best songs on this are great

 

I think Tsunami Sea is my favourite as a whole but it doesn't have any single songs as good as the best on Eternal Blue/The Fear of Fear.

I think perfect soul, no loss no love, soft spine and ride the wave are their top 4 tracks of all time

Is probably my top 10. I think Ride the Wave is my least favourite song they've made so far but even that's very good.

 

yeah, the first EP with the djenty stuff wasn't really for me but singles collection was fantastic

 

right on man, the whole run from electric cross through belcarra is that good good. trust fall has me floating every time

 

I don’t think my taste in this band could be any different than yours haha

 

hard to pick a fav from this band but the eternal blue t/t has always put a spell on me

 

yeah, at this point it's hard to rank their stuff because they're the best at incorporating all phases of their catalogue as they evolve. I think that's why ultimately Tsunami Sea is my favorite collection of songs from them because it's got everything.

 

The ending to that song sends me to another planet every single time.

No Loss No Love is doing that for me as well. (as I've mentioned here before)
