Crikey - Sounds like a massive scumbag I've seen quite a few 'respected' Youtubers that I follow (Finn McKenty, Nik Nocturnal etc) that have featured this band recently - why do they not feel the need to call him out on his behaviour?
Not familiar with Nik Nocturnal but from what I know and have learned about Finn McKenty, it's more likely he'd endorse Ronnie than call him out.
They played it live at the first date this tour I think. It’ll prob be released, I’m guessing, before my show on the 25th. Super ready to see them again. Ready to buy one of the cool ass “metal font” band name shirts they have. (super cool to see Josh as official now)
Sucks they don’t feature Josh on the official track, even though they have him singing parts on the live version
Who is this Josh? Song is cool, Courtney seems a little one note during it, but I love the urgency in the instrumentals. EDIT: Oh whoa, Josh Gilbert, didn't know he was with them now. Very cool. He's from my hometown, and obvious, huge, issues with Tim and AILD aside, he's got a great voice, and I hope he's featured in some studio recordings soon.
New bassist, and he happens to be a really good singer as well; used to be in metalcore band As I Lay Dying. You can hear him sing various parts in the live versions of the song posted, but I didn't hear him in the official version. I'm guessing they finished recording it before Josh officially joined the band
The Void is great. Love the ethereal feel it has overall, with the vocals sounding like they belong on a deep house track. Interesting Northlane-y mix of sounds.
from an interview I saw awhile back, I think Mike does initial programming and Zev would record/add flourishes and what not, but this was before he was a full time member.
this isn't coming from a place of logic or rationality but i like courtney as the sole voice of this band so i'm not mad that josh isn't featured on the track prominently love this song, spiritbox are one of the best doing it right now
Obligatory “I miss the screaming” but this song is really good, much better than the EP. Has me re-excited for next record.
I'm still shocked when people say they didn't like the last three songs. Heh they've been so consistent.
