'did my time' was the first thought i had when i heard that opening riff. i'd definitely rank them as hysteria, roto, and sew.
To me, "Sew Me Up" riff immediately took me to Deftones - "Bloody Cape"; especially the breakdown riff at the end of "Bloody Cape". The main riffs are very similar to my ear.
I'm working at the venue they're playing tonight so I just had the pleasure of taking in a free Spiritbox show. <25 minute set list though. What did Mastadon and Ghost ever do to deserve so much more stage time? Inexcusable.
Not sure if it was on off night but when I saw them in Providence the sound was rough. You could barely hear Mike and the entire stage cut out for about 15 seconds during Hurt You. But Spiritbox getting 25 minutes to open Mastodon and Ghost is a HUGE opportunity for them.
They should be dropping more vinyl this week. One of my greatest regrets in life is having the opportunity to preorder Eternal Blue on colored vinyl and then just.... not.
there was like 25 variants of eternal blue upon initial release. i have zero doubts about your future ability to land a colored copy of it!!! pale chord said feb.2! so be on the lookout tomorrow!
surprised they're doing a 12 inch for only 3 songs (re: Rotoscope). i've seen it done before, but based on discussions in their Discord, they were talking about doing a 7 inch for a while. guess this was a better option.
S/t in red is calling me anybody know how much of that record they play in headliners? Not sure if we know yet if they haven’t toured much since EB was released
Kinda wish the rotoscope songs were rolled into a deluxe edition of EB, I just can’t buy a probably $20 12” of 3 songs.
They've done a few headlining festival aftershows, and I think The Mara Effect 3 is the only song off that record they've played since EB came out.
It would make a lot of sense (to me), if Side B were Blessed Be and Rule of Nines. But yeah, not sure why it's a 12 inch as is. Or with those two songs on the other side.
