i remember when their Patreon was active they invited everyone at a certain tier on a Zoom call to hear Rotoscope in full, stating they wanted it to be its own isolated thing, almost like a spiritual successor to The Mara Effect as a cohesive narrative spread out over 3 songs. i take it this EP might also follow suit.

 

On a recent interview, they said they hadn't started working on it yet, and would only get to writing and recording it next year. Think they've been mostly been busy touring since the last full length.

Love the riff, gives me a Polyphia-lite vibe at times. Also love how much Courtney’s using her harsh vocals here.

Why does the new song remind me of an Architects song?

 

I mean they're going on tour together and it's not like their close ties to Architects are a secret.
