Spiritbox – “The Void”

Sucks they don’t feature Josh on the official track, even though they have him singing parts on the live version

 

nice to hear new music from them, i like it! more in the vein of eternal blue than rotoscope

 

I like this song much, much better than the last three they've released.

Between Rotoscope sounding like a heavy version of Garbage and them covering No Doubt on tour, I was a little worried about the direction they were heading into.

 

I much preferred the vibes of the Rotoscope singles. This song feels too safe imo. Its solid as a song, but it's probably one of my least favorite they've done as a band.

 

I hear you about it being safe, however, that song wouldn't have felt out of place on Eternal Blue, so to me, it sounds more like what we usually expect from Spiritbox than the singles.

I also wonder what Josh's contribution was on that track (if any).
