Yeah I’m getting much better already, it’s pretty chaotic at first but as you keep going you start figuring out lots of little tricks to make things easier, like how throwing things midair is better bc the animation is less likely to be interrupted than while on the ground. It’s surprisingly deep. Interestingly enough I’m having an easier time clearing bases than I do with some random encounters

 

just that whole first mission was amazing

 

okay an incredible cameo just happened after the first MJ moment a few hours in I’m freaking out lol

Enjoying the fuck out of this game. Only been able to put a couple hours in so far, but really loving Spider-Man's interactions with everyone.

 

Started playing it at 11pm on Thursday. As of 11pm on Friday night, I’m at 59% through the story.. oops

 

Yeah, the throwing objects is a catch 22 as you’ll throw faster in the air, but you won’t do area damage to surrounding opponents as you would on the ground.

I’m glad that the combat system has a lot of depth. I was worried it was gonna be another Arkham knockoff.

This game is too good.

They did such a great job with the combat. Once you start to really master the combo system, and then equipment wheel you can wreck baddies.

 

Put about 8 hours in so far and only on the first MJ section. This game is great. I've just been swinging around taking pictures of landmarks, scanning towers, and collecting backpacks.

 

I don’t really play video games but this game looks amazing. Going to have to find some playthroughs on YouTube to watch.

I’ve only played for like two hours so far and maybe that’s why but I feel wildly out of control of Spidey vs Batman in the Arkham games.

Also is there an strategy to get groups of thugs to disperse so you can stealth takedown them one at a time? Or is it just a given that you eventually will have to alert them to your presence at certain challenges/hideouts?

The best way I’ve found so far is to shoot objects near groups to get them to move over to it, then pick off the ones at the back.

 

Also this game is so much fun, I’ve put about 5 or 6 hours so far between last night and today. The swinging feels so amazing plus the fighting mechanics are great once you get he hang of them.

 

The traversal in this game is so good that it makes me want to do all the collectible stuff which is rare for me

 

This is one of those games that I do not wish to Fast Travel in, at all.

 

I do it to see the hilarious loading animation.

 

The music in this is incredible. Unless I've completely missed it, do we get a Spider-Man theme from this?

 

I only fast travelled when it made me.

Beat the main story, fantastic story. Played the entire game in the stark suite when I unlocked it, the reds are just so much better than the insomniac one IMO.

Lots of fun set ups for future games...

 

I’ve fast traveled a little bit so far, it was more when I was playing late in the evening when I wanted to get some bits finished before bed.

One cutscene did make me chuckle though. I was riding the train with the imposter Spiderman who I’d just saved

 

Finally beat it. Pretty good.
