This is how I felt. I had people telling me it was the best superhero film of all time - and granted, I'm not a huge Marvel guy, so I did expect it to not meet expectations - but I think crowded is the perfect term. It's a fun film, but there's so much going on you never get enough time with each character. I felt the Ned/MJ relationships have been my favourite part about the Holland films, so it did irk me they were so sidelined/kept apart from Peter for most of the film.

 

This movie was a ton of fun but I don't even know if I'd call it the best Spider-Man movie, nevermind the best superhero movie.

Is it cool they got a ton of old characters back? Hell yeah, but that doesn't mean it's a flawless plot.

I just rewatched Infinity War and Endgame and thought they were better films all around. I'd love a Russo Bros Spidey flick

Was looking forward to seeing this, but then had a medical emergency that hospitalized me, aaaaaand now I'm a high risk for COVID. Really wish this was streaming, or at least would be streaming some time soon. I literally can't risk going to see it :/

Just saw this and had a great time. Fan-servicy, over-crowded, sure, but man was it fun.

Easily the fucking dumbest joke of any Marvel movie.

 

The fact they had not one, but two scenes which intentionally recreated popular memes in the most forced way possible, should disqualify this film from any 'Best Picture' awards ever.

Is the MTV Movie Awards still a thing? Didn't they do dumb stuff like Best Kiss and Best Villain? Best Joke would be fun.

 

In the larger Marvel universe, the “I’m The Juggernaut, bitch!” from X-Men 3 remains the lamest.
