Has @Nathan said anything about Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man yet? Or is he still ignoring the MVPeter Parker?

It does feel odd that a long list of specific individuals seem to not exist in the Garfield or Raimi universes. The Avengers exist in some form in every other universe that the MCU has shown.

Sorry my friend. Multiversal/magic reboots are fully on the table now. Stakes are gone. Continuity's meaningless (more so than it was). Part's recast within a decade max

Excited to enter the "revert to status quo every five years" phase of the mcu

Maybe Raimi will touch on that reference in MOM. We better buy our tickets for opening night IMAX seats D9 - D12 to find out.

  7. Hopefully we get Riri first, but honestly I wouldn't mind another interpretation of Tony Stark somewhere down the line. The same thing happens with James Bond movies and in Doctor Who (except with the latter regeneration is built into the storyline).

I can't wait to clap at the screen and gasp when they bring uncle ben's death into mcu continuity

this movie has 94% on RT, this is just how you make movies now I guess

This line reading popped in my head the instant Maguire said “who?” when Holland mentioned Doctor Strange

He was good! His arc in this movie is 100x anything he was given in his own movies.

Oh I have zero faith in Marvel and Disney not showing actual restraint and letting sleeping dogs lie. I’m just saying if I never have to hear another softball Robert Downey Jr. quip as Tony Stark, I would never complain.

The cycle we’re in Downey Jr will absolutely be back at some point and so will everyone in the new Star Wars movies once enough time has passed and people forget how putrid TROS was and nostalgia pines for Rey and BB-8 and Disney and Amazon will own all the theaters and if you want to watch something made for grown ups you’ll have to subscribe to an obscure streaming service that solicits you for donations on top of your membership fee because they’re not solvent otherwise

Something made for grown ups? You must be referring to the Grown Ups duology. In which case, big pass.

Adam Sandler killed comedy, then reaped the benefits by starring in one of the most acclaimed dramas of the last few years
