Well the options were "cure them then send them back" or "send them back ASAP and if they die, they die". Sending them back was always the end goal. But otherwise yeah it seems like really the only outcome that'd probably change as a result of being cured is Norman. Ock probably still has to sacrifice himself to stop the machine (and he was redeemed at the end of that movie anyway), Electro seemed like he was basically taken mid-death scene, and we don't even know if Lizard or Sandman would've died pre-cure

This Electro had to be from later in the Amazing-verse timeline than ASM2. Electro never learned Peter’s identity in that movie. Had to be from a point in time where he learned that Spider-Man was a kid named Peter Parker but also never saw his face.

I think Max describes the scene in ASM2. I think him not knowing who Peter was is a goof.

  4. I could be wrong on this, but it sounded like Electro was saying that he was in the moment in ASM2 that he's just about to die and then popped over the MCU, right? Isn't that the scene where it's revealed that they were about to die which is what pushes Peter to challenge Strange? Damn my memory is trash haha.

I don't know. When Electro was talking about being pulled into the MCU, he was describing the end of TASM2. "I was kicking Spidey's ass, then he messed with the electricity grid and I was becoming pure energy".

It’s true what he describes SOUNDS like the end of ASM2, but what if after that fight he eventually manages to reconstitute himself, tries to become pure energy again at a different grid (seems like something he’d do), and in the process of doing so learns Peter’s identity? Then it makes sense for him to be in this movie lol

I would imagine Garfield’s Spider-Man has battled Electro a number of times and power grids are likely a recurring arena for them.

Maybe they're not even from the actual movie universes but universes that are similar to those movies.

    Also, Mephisto.

Maybe Harry told him he thought Spider-Man might be Peter and him thinking it was close enough to knowing it. Maybe he really did end up becoming a god like he said he would during that final fight and became omniscient. Maybe it, again, doesn't really matter lol

This whole scenario is, quite literally, this trope.

Wouldn’t there be more Peter Parkers because all Peter Parkers know that Peter Parker is spider man

What if Ned kept trying ring slings and ended up with an army of Peters?

  16. This was originally supposed to take place after Dr. Strange 2 right ... I'm sitting here thinking that maybe I'm being way, way too hard on this given they probably had severely limited time to reorganize this based on the dates.

Real talk, this is also very true and probably the reason for any plot holes because they were flying by the seat of their pants. It's really a blessing and a triumph this movie turned out as well as it did under the circumstances.

Strange contained the spell after only a few people from other universes made it through. It just so happened that the people who made it through in time were all the villains and heroes from past Spidey movies.

Let him fight Tom Hardy’s Venom. Andrew’s Peter said he wants to fight an alien. Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock said he needs to meet Spider-Man. Have Eddie travel to New York in Venom 3 and meet Andrew’s Peter.

This is the best and most obvious path forward for Sony's universe. This unfortunately also means that Sony will never do it because they don't know what they're doing.

The one blessing of Sony not knowing what they’re doing is that it allows stuff like “Spider Verse” and the wackiness of “Venom” to happen. I’ve always said that under Disney’s watch, those things would have been noted to death. The curse is that the regular “Spider-Man” movies feel like they are noted to hell and back.

  24. Totally agree. The Sony stuff has been awesome. They made the best spider-man movie of all time and two extremely fun Venom movies. That’s a huge huge huge win for all us fans.
