Sony distributes Spider-Man movies, not Disney. It is fucked up.

Not yet. I don’t see one

 

The 71 it has on Metacritic is probably a decent gage.

 

It got solid reviews from A.A. Dowd of the AV Club and Alonso Duralde of The Wrap, who are usually harder to please. That seems to be a pretty good sign.

 

Seen a few reviews saying it balances all the fan service and actually being a good movie on its own pretty well, which was definitely my biggest concern

 

The best non-spoiler info I’m getting from the reviews is that this film actually shows that the MCU Peter has grown and realizes who he is meant to be. The multiverse stuff is also not used as a gimmick and offers a real emotional mirror on what it means to be Spider-Man.

 

They released the “full” clip of the “Scooby Doo this crap” scene and it works SIGNIFICANTLY better than it did in the trailer

I'm glad this review is pretty critical but ultimately still thinks the film is fun enough for what it is. Miss me with any review full of eager praise, lol, but this makes me hopeful I'll find enough to enjoy in this mess while watching it with my family (including a couple nephews) this Friday.
