There are some that I think genuinely enjoy being in these movies, Anthony Mackie comes to mind specifically, but yeah it’s definitely a paycheck for most of them.

 

Though, Mackie is famous for yelling "Cut the check!" whenever he's done filming a scene lol

Chalamet has said no superhero movies. I hope he sticks to it.

 

If I remember correctly Timthoee himself never said no. He just said a friend advised him not to do superhero films. Regardless, if he likes the character they offer him I’m sure he will accept the role.

 

I hope he takes the advice that one of his heroes gave him, then.

 

You have to be an ultra nerd to be concerned with what an actor chooses to do with their career, like, c'mon. If they want to then whatever, if they don't want to then whatever. The earth will continue spinning if he plays Harry.

 

I don't want to say something trite and cliched like "don't hate the player, hate the game" but... that.

 

I mean ultimately I don’t care all that much, it happens all the time. It’s just nice whenever an actor can make their way doing more original stuff, and I don’t personally see much difference in hoping he doesn’t do a superhero movie versus hoping he does.
