I would really get a kick out of Strange actually being Mysterio in disguise…but Mysterio can’t open the multiverse, so…. :(

The third act twist is that this time Spider-Man enlists the help of Taylor Swift and the Swifties to defeat Mysterio

"I definitely think Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man would be pretty suspect of MCU Iron Man," Garfield said. "I think he would be a little turned off by the excess, the billionaire, trillionaire status of Iron Man. I think it would rub my version of Spider-Man the wrong way."

"But maybe there could be some influence there," the actor pondered. "Maybe my Peter Parker could wake Tony Stark up to his own egoic drives a little bit."

It would’ve been interesting to see this version of Peter in the MCU.

Yeah I mean given the experiences of both Garfield’s Peter and Tobey’s Peter, it’s understandable they would be skeptical of a tech billionaire dressing up and flying around causing destruction lol

Well to be fair, Tobey and Andrew never met any other superpowered individuals who weren't trying to kill them lol

Andrew’s a real one who deserves to be free of the superhero machine (though I’d still eat up one more Spidey performance from him in a supporting role in the right project).

If the rumors that are circling right now are true, it’s very possible this won’t be Andrew’s last time in the role

Hopefully it’s not the one about an end credit scene that leads to Venom going back to the Sony universe and there being two different Spidey vs Venom movies being planned that was circling this morning. I had a headache trying to find any logic in it.

Interesting, all I heard was Eddie and Venom get zapped back to their universe, but a piece of the symbiote was left behind, teasing a black suit arc. Nothing about Andrew, though.

Andrew isn't specifically named, but I feel like the two most likely options for Sony's Spider-Man are either him or Tom, and the latter would both be incredibly confusing and put a LOT on Tom's shoulders if he has to carry being Spider-Man in two separate franchises

It honestly wouldn’t be so bad if Sony wasn’t also trying to dance. As fun as it is to see Tobey and Andrew, Sony is just going to step on toes.

The Loki show was pretty smooth and fun to follow. Figuring out the entire deal with Venom, Morbius, etc. is not because it’s coming off as Sony forcing itself into an opportunity via MCU multiverse.

But then again it’s all just entertainment. Maybe I just need to enjoy the upcoming ride.

  22. The Venom movies are better than the Spider-Man movies so go Sony. Force (?) that shit.

I'm fine with having options for Marvel movies that aren't necessarily part of the MCU, especially when it comes to characters like Spider-Man who usually are pretty standalone and only show up in the larger universe for big events (or to try and boost sales of an underperforming title)

My comment isn’t about the quality of the Venom movies, it’s a take on how Venom, Morbius and others are making the MCU multiverse more convoluted.

Marvel movies that are not necessarily part of the MCU are great, but the stuff that I and a few other users spoiler tagged is not great. Anyway, until the film is out there’s no need to get into details so I’ll just wait.
