We are talking about the doctor strange that advanced through the mystic arts training very quickly, fooled Dormammu with time, was able to see millions of possibilities of the conflict with Thanos, and had the will to allow himself to get erased in order for Thanos to be stopped, but yet the strange in this film botched a spell because a kid is talking and tries to get the kids to solve the problem with a scooby doo joke.

Yeah I’d like to think it’s not the real strange instead of just bad writing making him out to be a lazy idiot.

The scooby doo joke does sound like typical MCU dialogue tbf

I got the sense that Peter was actively tampering with the spell, not just "talking".

I don't know what that's from, but stealing literal faces is not something Chameleon does or has ever done to my knowledge, so this reads wildly out of character, unless he's just making an empty threat.

I mean, he's been beaten by both Mary Jane and Aunt May at different points in his career, so I don't blame him if he's feeling a little testy about himself, but Chameleon is mostly about mind games, not about straight up horror.

Alright, upon further review, I did find that I had forgotten that during that same storyline I referenced where Chameleon seduced Peter's roommate, he also was established as starting to put victims in acid baths to kill them when he took over their lives. That's something that has not been referenced in storylines since, so I'm assuming it was just a one-off thing with that one writer.

I see it’s time for him to start questioning how many films he’ll do so he can request a bigger paycheck.

It’s Holland so take everything with a grain of salt.

Although he isn’t wrong. The next trilogy would be great for a Miles intro

Imo, Tom is gonna have a really hard time trying to escape the shadow of that role if he leaves after this. Granted, he’s still young and not a bad actor but when your big break is playing one of the most popular and beloved superheroes on the planet in a multi-billion dollar media juggernaut, that’s quite a challenge to overcome in terms of his career.

I really can't think of anything I enjoyed Tom in outside of the MCU and maybe Onward (even in that he was just fine)
