Assuming the plot leak I've read is correct, if it is true, it won't be something we learn in this movie.

It’s worth noting that DS2 is was supposed to drop before NWH and was directly gonna set it up but Covid happened so they switched them around so it’s possible that Strange could be someone in disguise or a variant while DS2 explains where the real Strange is at. Bit of a stretch though.

That is interesting because that could go either way. We know that Dr. Strange 2 and No Way Home are linked, but not in what way they're linked. The fact that they're interchangeable either suggests it's either not a huge link, or it's a link established in such a way that one merely informs the other. It could also just be that they're related thematically, since they're both dealing with the multiverse.

I still think it's the real Strange, and I think the people that think otherwise are operating off some really tenuous evidence.

The real plot twist, the landlord is the main villain Lol

Also, Strange is capable of fucking up a spell lol wouldn't be the first time

“real tenuous evidence” like a character we’ve seen in multiple movies now acting completely contrary to how he’s been established lol. just that.

it’s not even the spell. it’s the way he talks and the things he’s saying

heres my definitively unique and awful take on Spider-Man movies

    Spider-Man 1
    Spider-Man 2
    The amazing Spider-Man
    Spider-Man homecoming
    Spider-Man 3
    Amazing Spider-Man 2 (I couldn’t finish watching it)
Spider-Man far from home (I wish I never finished watching it)

Strange acts different in every movie he's in tbh. If anything, I feel like he acted differently in Infinity War

I mean, in the first movie he was dicking around with the Time Stone without really knowing what he was doing until Wong stopped him; I don't really see how any of this is out of character for how he's been established. He's arrogant, smug, and totally willing to do things without considering the consequences. You might say that he's grown since the first movie, but I'd say it's also completely logical that he's still arrogant, and confidence can supplement that.

I’m guessing the next doctor strange movie will establish him as learning more and becoming a lot better at the superhero thing

Chameleon is such an underappreciated character. He really needs a prominent spot in a movie or a game one of these days.

Also, Loki ended with the timeline being destroyed by Sylvie icing proto-Kang and all the universes came undone practically at once and it showed Kang already took over the TVA when Loki got kicked back into it, so considering where both of them are in the current MCU timeline and if it’s following the rules established by the show, it could be possible that NWH Strange is a variant who escaped his universe somehow without the TVA there to nab him and the real Strange is trying to fix things, which is what MoM is gonna be about.

Remember when everyone said Dr. Strange was basically Iron Man when his movie came out? And now people are suddenly acting like he isn't smug and reckless? Lol

I’ve been saying this, it would probably have to be at least PG-13, if not R tho.

I’m not one of those fans who’s always like “make it R rated so it’s only for the super coooool comic fans!” or anything but it could definitely be some dark shit. I almost wonder if he would make more sense in the venom universe.

I mean, I don't think he's ever done anything in the comics that would warrant an R rating, unless we're talking about that squicky storyline where he impersonated Peter and promptly seduced his roommate. And that should never ever be adapted. Ever.
