Am I crazy for not expecting this to be nearly as messy as the thread? I mean, the MCU has had a looooooooooot of things that could become quite messy and avoided it pretty easily. I wouldn't be surprised at the end result being fans saying "man i wish this got messier" haha

 

I'm just expecting a fun movie and I feel like I'll be right about that

 

The MCU is going to escalate in its messiness.

We’re getting more of Kang, the multiverse, vampires, werewolves, Celestial shenanigans, etc.

The Infinity Saga will be seen as the more straight forward period of the MCU.

 

the second movie was so terrible that i am going to have to assume this will be bad until proven otherwise.

Also about my expectations haha. I certainly understand and respect the criticisms this iteration has received, and even agree with some of them, but I still have fun with these movies and still greatly enjoy Tom Holland as spidey haha

 

Even if it’s bad the fan service will have people love it. It will be hard to not experience an endorphin high with everything we know.

 

I will have fun with a game crowd for it opening weekend and then pretty much only think about it in terms of "hey remember when the crowd went wild when xxx showed up?"

So a marvel movie. Nothing more, nothing less....

So does this mean we can now consider the Raimi and ASM films as MCU canon?

 

Pre-release complaints about preconceived notions of a movie later morphing into contradictory complaints once the movie comes out and proves the original complaints unfounded? In this economy?

 

With the online discourse obsessing over leaks and finding out every detail about the movie, like is there anything left to be surprised about when we finally see it?

The length of the film was a surprise to some. There are also some other major spoilers that I haven’t seen many people talk about here.

Being surprised by a movie is overrated. Just sit back and enjoy watching some dumb shit and quit worrying about how we are eventually going to see xyz that you read would happen in the movie 8 months ago.
