This is the best Spider-Man movie, one of the best superhero movies, and even one of my favorite animated movies. Absolutely loved every second

Lots of critically acclaimed films don't do well, but I'm really hoping that magical blend of rave reviews, word of mouth, brand recognition, & being an animated film during the holidays make this a massive hit.

Like, not just a success. But, something that rises above a crowded landscape and kills at the box office in a way that exceeds all expectations.

To those who have seen this, I know I'm lame for being the type of person for liking spoilers but I'm so impatient and excited :P. Just wondering, do they go in detail about Peter's death in Miles universe? Was he already dead when the film begins and it's just kind of vaguely mentioned?

I really loved those comics, so I'm curious how similar that aspect will be

Miles's Peter is alive when the movie starts. He's a huge motivator for Miles to take on the mantle and finish what he started

Yeah, Miles' Peter dies in the first act. Kingpin deals the final blow in the wreckage of his interdimensional portal, which is what brings the other Spiders to his world & the central narrative thrust. MJ gives a great memorial speech.

Lol funny to see the comic have Miles pull a Tom Holland from the beginning of Homecoming, needlessly documenting proof that he's Spider-Man (writing it down vs taking video)

    Comic looks great though

I hate that my theater doesn't put tickets up for sale for Thursday showings until like two days before

    I do not exist.

Wow this was so fun! Caught a preview showing this morning - presume it’s out “officially” later this week in the UK? Not sure how or why it was classed as a preview or how that works - a first for me, haha.

But yes, what a brilliant film.

Same haha, cinema wasn’t even half full unfortunately. Still, this film is probably the best I’ve seen all year
