  1. If you're reading a thread about those Thor movies right now and you get mad about spoilers that'd be pretty silly though.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I mean I got the impression the alien weapons out of the van was regular business for them

I'm really out of the loop on comic book characters so I apologize if I'm shafting Glovers character lol

  3. Getting fucked by billionaires and having to sell weapons on the black market to provide for your family doesn't make me think he's a villain. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean yeah he's probably the most sympathetic "villain" we've had and I'm sorry that was the only route he had to go lol

He is still a criminal making black market weapons, and destroyed a ferry nearly killing a lot of people.

Exactly. Dude is an unapologetic murderer. Which is a shame, because his character didn't need to be

    Edit

Although I don't think the ferry would've been in any danger without Peter there

  8. I don't think making and selling black market weapons after losing his job because of a billionaire/government intervention makes him any more of a criminal than many of the Avengers themselves and those they work with/for. And one could argue Peter's escalation at the ferry was what put those people in danger and shoulders the same blame.

  9. I also think the movies have made it clear murdering for the right "cause" is something they're ok with for heroes. The body count from our "heroes" is quite high.

Not talking about the ferry scene, but Toomes purposely sets out to murder a kid. There's a difference between willingly trying to murder innocent people and having innocent casualties, no?

  11. I mean, Cap and company absolutely murder people in these movies. They think they're on the right side of the argument, so it's cool to murder. I don't think it's great that Toomes crashes a building down on the super-human trying to stop him, but I can understand the motivation and why he thinks he's on the right side of that argument.

That’s your choice to not see those movies yet. You would have seen them if you actually cared about what happened in them. None of which negates that you might want to see them. But you clearly don’t care that much.

But if you go to the Ragnarok thread and expect to not get spoiled on Thor stuff, that’s just stupid beyond belief.

But that’s also addressed in the series and is evidently the motivation behind Civil War is it not?

  14. Like 1/10th of the murders are addressed. They talk about the "innocent" casualties, but never address the straight up murdering of people (in WW2, everyone on Helicarriers, Hydra goons, etc.).

I'm probably (okay, definitely lol) forgetting a lot from movies I haven't seen in ages, but in most of those situations, the people being killed are people who are trying to kill the hero or other people. Killing a killer, regardless of who is right or wrong, is a bit different than killing someone with no intention of killing anybody. Not sure I remember what you're talking about with the hellicarriers, but isn't Hydra essentially Marvel's version of Nazis? Why wouldn't Hydra goons deserve to die?

Can we all admit I was right about how this shoulda been a Miles Morales movie and the “it won’t make money” group were very fucking stupid?

I’m very hopeful that audiences turn out in large numbers for that animated film.
