Just under a month at it's almost at 700 million without Japan or China, think we can say the movie didn't bomb.
It's noted most places: Inflation does affect box office, but this movie also cost way less than the other movies at $175 million. It's all Sony news though. Marvel doesn't get one cent, but I love this note: Marvel gets ALL of that... and it's probably even higher now that this was the highest CinemaScore a Spider-Man movie has ever received and they determined how to put him out there creatively.
Love Ganke. There's a panel in the early Miles comics where Miles tells Ganke that no girl will approve or appreciate his playing with Legos. His response: "The right girl will."
From a music perspective, we can at least thank that movie for getting us a dubstep mix of "Itsy Bitsy Spider." Saves a whole generation's musical taste.
Is ASM2 really hated enough that anyone complimenting must be goofing? I can see how someone could like it
Nah, it's not a great film, but I liked to loved some individual things about it. I'm sure others would agree
All joking aside, ASM2 still has hands down the best Spidey, and it's honestly not even close. Literally every great Spidey moment in Homecoming felt to me like it could have happened in that film. When I picture the friendly neighborhood webslinger I've loved my entire life, and then imagine him in real life instead of the printed page, that's 100% what I picture.
ASM2 is better than people give it credit for, but it's definitely a bit of a mess. I think it gets enough right to make up for its flaws, but eh. Everyone's different.
What do you mean by this? Because like, those great Spidey moments didn't happen in that film, they happened in this film
