Hope this is true - Marvel have had some terrible villains. I liked Ego and Loki and that's about it. The rest were poor-meh for me.
Looking at a 18 Fresh to 1 Rotten ratio right now on RT. Pretty much everything I've seen so far has been positive.
Currently at 94% with 35 reviews. I'm actually in shock with this. I thought this was gonna bomb hard critically.
So I don't care about all of the stuff that took place in the trailers, but article titles listing spoilers as to characters in this can burn to the ground.
This is never going to get the majority of fans championing it, but based on your opinions on the previous five you'll probably be real into this one
I actually felt a slight urge to clap after Baby Driver, and then a few groups of people in the theater actually started to.
Metacritic is the ultimate rating system for movies and shows, for the most part. But RT's rating system is more for "hmm should I spend 10 bucks and sit in a theater for 2 hours or will this be a waste of time and money?", not the actual rating of the movie. Yet people take it as the real rating. Don't get it either.
I just view RT as a way to weed out the shit bombs and avoiding them in the theater generally. I'll always see a movie if I have interest in it despite whatever ratings it gets. But I try to do my best to see the better movies in theater and save the weaker films for redbox.
