I mean I don't think devs were trying to make Spidey lethal in previous games, there just wasn't a practical way to keep people from being knocked off roofs. These contingency animations are rad though.
The better way of putting it was that they had no way to stop me from purposefully web swinging every bad guy off of the roofs.
Anyone remember Web of Shadows? I thought it was a pretty good Spidey game but the point of this is you could run on the streets in traffic and kick cars that would flip and fly through the air and explode. Always wondered why that was programmed in the game....
Yeah web of shadows was probably the last decent Spider-Man game, but yeah what a weird design choice. Was it a symbiote power up? I remember there being a moral choice system in that game so maybe that's why?
Nope, wasn't a power up or moral choice. Had no effect in the game at all lol. One of the melee attacks was just a kick and you could use it on cars.
lol absurd. In that case I amend my previous statement I guess you could just straight up murder people in a previous game
The more Spider-Man in the MCU, the better. I want to see him interacting with a lot of characters post-Infinity War
Did anyone else play the Ultimate Spider-Man game on Gamecube? I never see anyone else talk about it but I fucking love that game, it's my favorite SM video game to date (though I haven't played it in probably 8 years)
Can someone help me out with this? Spidey's my favourite superhero based on movies/games/cartoons, but I've never gotten into the comics. If one were to get into the Spiderman comics, where would one start?/best series/best app/etc.?
You should start with Spider-Man: Blue and Ultimate Spider-Man. The former is a miniseries collected in one trade, while the latter is an ongoing series where you'd start w/ vol. 1.
Replayed that a while back, still holds up! Best ones, IMO, are Spider-Man PS1, Spider-Man 2 PS2, and Ultimate Spider-Man. So stoked for the new one!
