I went back and watched Captain America: Civil War last night, and while I doubt it has much (if anything) to do with the title, one of the words they repeated when prepping The Winter Soldier was "Homecoming".
It's just coincidence. The Russo's explained it somewhere. But basically they liked the way it sounded in Russian (was it Russian? I'm blanking, whatever language). They didn't start with English words from what it sounded like. Just the phrasing and flow of those words is why they chose them.
Don't know how much characterization there can be to Happy Hogan but he's basically just Jon Favreau now.
Zendaya's character has been apparently revealed (by a leak from the junior novelization) to be named Michelle Toomes, because she's the Vulture's daughter. Should be a pretty interesting dynamic there.
