They have announced so much about this movie, but nothing about who he's playing. You can only see him for a quick second in the first trailer: Many ideas out there for him, but nothing really giving it away.
Early projections are saying the film should open around $135 million. 99% likely to change closer to release BOX OFFICE: Analysts Predict A Huge Opening For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING This July
With how much Donald has blown up in the past year I'm surprised they haven't used him in any advertisements really
He was in a trailer for a second. I don't think he's going to have that big of a role. I'm pretty sure he is just a side henchmen or something.
I'm sure I read that, whilst it's a small role, it's a relatively important one. Can't remember where I saw that, though.
I'm assuming that's toy concept art? 'Cause it doesn't look good... lol. I vaguely remember a set photo of Shocker looking much better.
A lot to like in the new trailer. The school scenes continue to look great, and some of the silly, grounded Spidey scenes work in the same fun way that Garfield's similar scenes in the ASM films did. I think I'm largely gonna love seeing this. Still, this trailer pushed me squarely into "I don't like the costume" territory. The idea that this film could show some of the creative things he does in the comics with his webbing is exciting, and I still appreciate that they worked to recreate armpit webs and mask expressions... But, this is just too much. I hated hearing the suit talk to him. The parachute could've been a cool comics homage but looks bad in the trailer. I really, REALLY hope the plot line of Tony taking the suit back culminates in Peter making a new, much better suit.
This movie seems to be a child-targeted version of Deadpool. Deadpool was at least a really fun and unexpected watch. Even the suit looks like Deadpool to me. This feels like a movie that will join the growing list of every other Marvel comic book movie that I'm not interested in seeing. It's a shame because I like the Spider-Man character, but all of the movies have sucked pretty hard. Iron Man being in this seems completely unnecessary to me. I'm probably not the target audience so I guess it's whatever.
