What started this huge Spider-discussion? Just a few new posters? Man, I love us.

 

OG or the second era?

 

ASM2 had a tonn of problems but is still my favorite by far. Spidey is perfect in it. Electro was a weird choice as a main villain and they really shoehorned the green goblin stuff, but there was so much in it for the fans.

 

Well idk. Looking up Ben Reilly, I didn't realize he was introduced in 75. I think I read most of the clone stuff in the 90's and I think it was more the death of Peter's robotic parents where I kind of thought it was getting a bit silly haha.

 

I forgot Spider-Man 2 was the Vindicated one so that wins, plus Joel McHale is in it, although Macy Gray is randomly in the first Spider-man

 

We gotta bring this up too

 

I was so obsessed with this song when it came out. I specifically remember, after hearing it multiple times, listening to the radio for hours, hoping the song would come on just so I could hear the announcer say the song/band name to look it up and buy it.

 

thank god we have Shazam now, that happened to me so many times, took me years to learn what Never Let You Go by Third Eye Blind was called

 

I think the brilliance of the Raimi films was that they turned so many people into fans

 

The entire Spider-Man 2 soundtrack was almost too good to be true. Gifts and Curses is beautiful.

 

I don't think that's difficult with Spiderman.

 

I'm still upset that they cancelled that show, and Earth Mightiest Heroes for lesser quality shows.

Maybe if we're lucky those shows can pull a Young Justice, and come back for a bit. Although, I unfortunately doubt that would happen.

 

ASM2 was a clusterfuck. I saw it in theaters and by the end of the movie could not remember the motivation behind any one of the villains. Dane was underused, Jaime Foxx was awkward and unbuyable as the villain he portrayed, and Garfield didn't pull off Peter Parker even remotely close to as good as he did in the first film.

 

Everyone in this video was bit by the ugly spider.

 

I still love the 90s animated series. I own the DVDs and I'll watch an episode or two every now and then.

 

My mom found a very old drawing of Spider-Man I did and I had to share it cause lol.

But nothing compares to all of NYC getting together to align their cranes to help Spidy swing across the city. Talk about corny.

 

All of NYC? It was like a handful of people. And that's a good moment.

 

Good point, I was over exaggerating a bit The sentiment was nice in that scene, but still too corny.

 

I had zero issue with the cranes lol

 

Excited for a new Spider-Man trailer for me to get more strong opinions on, lol. Also glad we got that Justice League trailer with so much Aquaman goodness. But, like... all I want is the first Thor: Ragnarok trailer. Wonder if we'll have to wait 'til GOTG2 before that one drops.
