The other villains, I’m guessing Hydro-man and the other one, are 100% illusions or creations of Mysterio. I’m guessing in the MCU he’ll be able to manifest something more physical than his hologram-y projections in the comics.
It definitely feels obvious that he's going to be doing the whole "creating these elementals so he can defeat them and look like a hero" Mysterio looks great though
Between the beginnings of both trailers, I’m very into a super supportive Aunt May. Not into the Happy Hogan stuff though. Mysterio looked a touch too “Doctor Strange” for my taste, and I kinda wish Fury wasn’t in this. I just want a simple Spider-Man focused story, not a big Marvel event. But it doesn’t matter I’m gonna be there opening night.
I’m interested to see if there was any inkling of Mysterio seeing a little footage of Dr Stranges powers and built his illusions to mirror that.
can’t believe this movie is going to steal the plot for the first incredibles movie wow I kid of course
Mysterio looks great, movie looks fun as hell, love Gyllenhaal, Tom Holland is the man, and all the student actors (Zendaya, Revolori, and Batalon especially, obviously) are such a joy to spend time with that I'm glad they'll have a bigger role in this one. Definitely interested to see how they handle the whole "Mysterio is using his effects tech to pretend to be a hero" plot. But this creative team has earned my trust after the first one so I'm ready for whatever they decided to throw at us.
The MCU, PS4 and animated Spiderverse Spiderman are all great. I'm glad they are all different and just happy we are getting so much quality lately.
I'm digging the actors. Definitely doesn't feel traditional, but still will likely be better than at least 5 of the other Spider-Man movies.
Mysterio looks cool but I'm a bit concerned he's just going to be a guy with "magic powers" instead of the things that actually make him a cool villain
