I'm still 5 days away from seeing this, & I'm already thinking about the next one more than this one. Oops.
I'm always thinking about the next one because the MCU is bright and so is it's future and obviously building towards the sinister six. Give it all to me.
See, the difference is, I'm thinking about the next one 'cause the present & future of MCU Spidey doesn't feel bright to me. So, I'm thinking about what they could do in the third one to win me over, & honestly, it's not the Sinister Six. I wanna actually see Far From Home w/ my own 2 eyes before saying more on what I want, though. So, brace yourselves for an overly long post in the next week, lol.
The after credits scene with JJJ is up on YouTube. Who knows how long that'll stay up. It's as dumb as I thought it'd be.
Oh my gosh, why does he look like that, & why does this film end like that? Maybe it'll be better in context, not as a crappy secret video, but like... Why?
the one described that's fanfic with norman osbourne in stark tower is so much better than the real thing. that's a bad beat lol.
Yeah it kind of spoils the outcome of the end of the film and the scene itself is a massive spoiler for what the next movie will entail
Yeah definitely.. not a great choice, especially to end things that way. Here's hoping they handle it okay in the next one, but we'll see I guess I don't totally mind him looking like that though heh the "controversial" Alex Jones vibes do help Jameson come off as a dickhead lol. But I do wish they just went with his look from the first trilogy. They're trying way too hard to convince the viewers this isn't the same Jonah from the earlier films.
What I want is based on knowing the big thing that happens in the mid credits scene, which is a spoiler conversation, & I don't like giant blocks of spoiler tag, which is part of why I wanna wait 'til the movie's out. The other part is, seeing the actual execution of this whole film might change my mind to some extent; I'm currently working off my opinion of Homecoming, trailers for this one, & leaked info about this one. The shorter, non-spoiler-y version of what I want is, if they're really committing to what's in that credits scene, just GO FOR IT. Fully commit to that story, pushing it as far as you can, & then find some comic-book-y way to set things right at the end in some quick little throwaway sequence. But, for one special film, start to finish, just don't give a fuck & tell this specific, personal story.
I think they're kind of going with the way he is in the video game, where he's more of a podcasting conspiracy theorist.
Heh I'm sure you're right. There is actually a side by side photo circulating around with Alex Jones next to JJJ and they're wearing the same jacket and shirt, the same desk with papers sprawled out everywhere, and bald heads, though, so it appears they may have drawn some inspiration there. Skeeves me out the more I think about it lol
@Zilla or anyone else who has seen this: Does Jameson actually show a photo of Peter's face after the name reveal? For some reason, I saw a leak of the US cut and it showed his photo right before cutting to Spidey's reaction, but in another leak with Japanese subtitles, it immediately cuts to Spidey's reaction of the name-drop with no photo of Peter shown at all.
Marvel in 2016: "We need a trilogy of high school Peter films 'cause the previous 2 live action high school Peters didn't spend enough time there." Marvel in 2019: "What if our second Spidey film takes place in Europe, & ends with Peter's identity being revealed to the public?"
