Also, not sure why, but these leaks keep getting deleted from the MarvelStudiosSpoilers Reddit and I have no idea why. Several posts that I participated in that seem credible eventually say [deleted] in the description.

 

People probably delete them in fear that they won’t end up true. They don’t want their Reddit account to be attached to a lie.

 

Yeah I was thinking that too, but then I see the original posters saying they never deleted it.. seems fishy haha

I was supposed to see this this weekend and can't make it. Grrrrrrrr... so it's Tuesday for me.

Hoping to continue and avoid all spoilers.

 

How are people able to see this before Tuesday?

Dang, none of these early viewings ever happen in my state :/

 

I get some perks for the movie podcast I co-host but they often involve driving to Kansas City for advanced screenings which isn't worth it unless it's some huge movie that I'm seeing way early. So I'm usually only seeing stuff on the normal Thursday "early" screenings which are standard at this point.

 

It’s good. It’s pretty much a crowd-pleasing “Spider-Man” comedy. It does some really cool things with Mysterio that it unfortunately doesn’t do a whole lot with. Jake is great.


BIG SPOILERS
The twist is a bit clunky that requires a lot of explaining. BUT Jake is sleazy and enjoyable enough as Mysterio that you go along with it.



I didn’t like it as much as “Homecoming,” but it’s a fun time. Nothing particularly memorable, just a solid mid-level superhero movie.

How was the Tony Stark grave scene?

 

Yeah, I liked this a lot. Second half in particular is honestly pretty incredible. A few kinks could've been ironed out, but I can't think of any huge issues here. Might be my favorite live action Spidey tbh

 

So, JJJ does reveal his identity during the credits, or was that detail wrong? 'Cause, man, I just can't picture myself liking that decision.

Happy to hear some positive reactions, but I'm still skeptical of how much I'll like this. Most of the marketing just hasn't landed for me at all. Hope the humor is at least really strong.

 

He definitely does reveal it, but it kind of it ties into the ending of Mysterio and his crew’s ability to manipulate reality, since it spawns from a video that he made. But I understand it’s gonna be a stinger that will divide people.

omgosh I'm reading all these spoilers and I... don't mind being spoiled? Surprising. Maybe after Endgame something in me shifted.

 

Rewatching the Raimi movies and I just realized I've never finished spider-man 2. Movies hold up better than I thought tho

 

I’m not too big of a fan of some of the spoilers that line up with those end credits. A spider-man movie with Jake as Mysterio is already top tier so come at me.

 

What sticks out so much about the second half of this film? I would think that'd be where more of the action is, & all the action in the trailers looks kinda flat to me, so I'd be interested in hearing what connected with you.

 

Some deleted stuff from early in the film (like the bit in the trailers where he takes out those criminals before going to Europe) is gonna be put together on the home release as a "Peter's To Do List" short film, which sounds fun.

Also, the Karen AI in his suit officially isn't back? Thank goodness that part at least is gone now.

 

Yeah, none of the stuff with him in the suit where he’s talking with the cops is in the movie.
