I’m not believing any “leaked” scenes from this film. I’ve read a handful of “leaks” that all contradict each other. Too many nerds posting their fanfics
Yep I'm seeing multiple reports of this now and it would certainly make sense. Nick Fury DOES seem different from his "bitch please" comment, and maybe that's why his eye patch is on the wrong side in some posters. Also, Mysterio painting Spidey as a villain was done in the original comics, just in a different way. I still hate Peter's actual secret identity being revealed to the world though. Bad move. It's possible that Dr. Strange could make the whole world forget Peter's identity, this apparently happened in the comics.
Oh wow, I didn't realize this was out next Tuesday instead of a normal Thursday (guessing due to Independence Day) Wish I was able to watch this opening night :/ I'll have to get a Friday showing. Excited to see this
I don't currently believe the rumored secret identity reveal in the credits for the simple reason that, if something that big happened, it'd have to happen within the actual film itself. You can't drop a bomb like that w/out showing Peter's response & some level of immediate aftermath. Though, w/ how Marvel Studios has treated Spidey... Seeing them further break the character like that instead of using Tony's death to get back to basics would not surprise me, lol.
I agree something big like that should happen in the actual film itself, but at the same time, I could see it being done in a similar manner to the Aunt May discovering Peter's identity scene at the end of Homecoming. That would make for two movies in a row where it ends on a cliffhanger of an identity reveal Still not happy about it though, I hope you're right
That's different to me, though. With how small they've made May's role in the MCU, her finding out his identity really doesn't mean anything. If that happened to Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield, we'd need a Peter & May conversation like JMS wrote in his ASM comic book run. But, for Tom Holland, it's kinda clearing a narrative obstacle off the board w/ just enough precedent (between ASM & USM) to not feel out of left field. His identity being revealed to the world would be huge. It's only happened once between the major versions of the character, & it was such a big change that every Spidey story focused on that for the, like, one year during which that was the case, before they used the literal devil to undo it.
There is a scene in this film in which Peter is at Tony’s grave and Mysterio creates an illusion of a decomposed Tony rising up in an Iron Man suit only for the suit to open to nothing but a skeleton It sounds pretty metal and I’m not sure how people will take it.
Reddit. Someone who was able to see the film was answering specific plot questions this one dealt with any scenes that RDJ was in. He responded by saying that we only get a flashback (Mysterio being at the event shown at the beginning of Civil War when Tony used the BARF machine which lines up with Mysterio being the original creator of BARF) and this one, however, it’s not in the likeness of RDJ because we only see a skeleton. I can post the link if you’d like to see the other questions answered.
It's looking more and more like that first end credits scene is legit after several confirmations on Reddit, sigh. We shall see.
